Vida, a resident of Edvarta Virzas Street, was home with her husband Andris around four yesterday. The woman says that this time the afternoon could not be spent as quietly as usual, because something bad had happened in the neighbor’s apartment.

“My husband tells me the smoke is coming through the kitchen window. He called the firefighters, the ‘fast’, two firefighters came,” says Vida, a resident of the house.
