Smash Mouth scored several big hits in the 90’s. Ranging from “All star” to “Then the morning comes”. Harwell co-founded the group and was the band’s singer and frontman for many years. He eventually left the group in 2021 for health reasons. Smash Mouth then went on tour with another singer.
Harwell had been having health problems for some time. The singer died of acute liver failure in the presence of his friends and family, his manager said in a statement.
