Skyward Sword could see a new version on Switch

The Switch continues to sell well. It is therefore normal that Nintendo adds to the catalog of the console certain games that are unloved, or that did not meet with success when they were released on Wii and more particularly the Wii U.

What could be the case with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, an episode less popular than Twilight Princess or Wind Waker, released in 2011 for the Wii.

The game, in its Switch version, was indeed listed on the English version of Amazon, before being deleted. It may therefore be a mistake on the part of the e-commerce giant (it wouldn’t be the first time). Or just a real leak, which would see the game add to the long list of games released on Nintendo’s semi-portable.

After all, the Switch has already hosted Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and NEW Super Mario Bros U, three games released for Wii U. And next October, it will be Pikmin 3’s turn to experience a new life on Switch.

Moreover, other episodes of the Zelda franchise have also seen new releases, like Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, released on Wii U. Or The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, released in 2019 on Switch after its debut in 1993 on Game Boy.

If a remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is indeed in preparation, we hope that the handling will be improved. The game, which at the time was controlled with the Wiimote, had pissed off many players.
