TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – A number of price Food prices are still observed to be high beyond the reference price set by the government. Some of the commodities whose national average prices are still high include cooking oil, chicken eggs, chili, shallots and garlic.
Data The Ministry of Trade’s Market and Basic Needs Monitoring System recorded, as of Monday, January 3, 2022, prices the national average bulk cooking oil reaches IDR 17,900 per liter. This figure exceeds the reference price of Rp. 11,000 per liter.
This price did not move from the position of December 31, 2021. In fact, the price of bulk cooking oil rose 2.29 percent compared to the price on December 3, 2021, which was Rp. 17,500 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of simple packaged cooking oil was at the level of IDR 18,500 per liter on January 3, 2022, or a slight decrease of 0.54 percent from the position on December 31, 2021, but still rising 3.35 percent on a monthly basis.
Meanwhile, the average price of purebred chicken eggs was Rp. 30,400 per kilogram or an increase of 20.16 percent on a monthly basis. Meanwhile, the price of the chili-chili group was also observed to be still higher than in early December 2021 with a price increase of up to 51.11 percent for red chilies to Rp 88,100 per kg.
The price of curly red chili rose 11.67 percent to Rp 46,900 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chilies rose 4.96 percent to Rp 44,400 per kg.
