Skyrocketing Food Price List: from Cooking Oil, Eggs, Chilies to Onions

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – A number of price Food prices are still observed to be high beyond the reference price set by the government. Some of the commodities whose national average prices are still high include cooking oil, chicken eggs, chili, shallots and garlic.

Meanwhile, the average price of purebred chicken eggs was Rp. 30,400 per kilogram or an increase of 20.16 percent on a monthly basis. Meanwhile, the price of the chili-chili group was also observed to be still higher than in early December 2021 with a price increase of up to 51.11 percent for red chilies to Rp 88,100 per kg.

The price of curly red chili rose 11.67 percent to Rp 46,900 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chilies rose 4.96 percent to Rp 44,400 per kg.
