Skrällen: Tottenham fell in the European qualifiers

Tottenham lost on Thursday against the Portuguese team Pacos de Ferreira in the play-off round of the Europa Conference League. Spurs did not seem to take the match very seriously beforehand, as coach Nuno Espirito Santo lined up with a really reserve team.

Santos’ team selection was punished in the end at Estadio Capital do Movel.

Just before half time, Pacos de Ferreira took the lead through winger Lucas Silva and then guarded the lead all the way into the goal to win 1-0.

Next week awaits return in London and then Tottenham will possibly line up with a better team to advance to the group stage of the tournament.
