3- Dry skin

You should beware of dry skin, because it may be a warning sign of diabetes, especially if the patient also suffers from frequent urination and a constant feeling of thirst.

4- Scaly patches around the eye

If high blood cholesterol is the cause of diabetes, scaly patches may appear around the eye, tending to yellow in color, which can be treated by using moisturizing creams under the supervision of a doctor.

5- Pimples

If blisters filled with fluid and pus appear on the hands, legs, and feet, the patient should go to the doctor immediately, because it is a skin symptom of diabetes, although it rarely occurs.

Symptoms of high cholesterol on the skin

1- Blueness of the skin

The bluish color of the skin indicates a high level of harmful cholesterol in the blood. The reason why the skin changes to a blue color is due to a decrease in the flow of oxygen-laden blood to it, as a result of narrowing or blockage of the arteries.

2- Skin appendages

High cholesterol may cause painless growths to appear on some parts of the body, such as the eyelids, the lines of the hands, and the back of the lower legs, which are orange-yellow in color.

3- Rash

If the rash is spread across the back, hands, and legs, and is accompanied by smooth blisters spaced close together, then you have high cholesterol.

4- Yellowing of the nails

The appearance of yellow nails is a cause for concern, as it is an indication of high cholesterol, especially if they also suffer from a curve with red or purple lines on their surface.

5- Change the color of the soles of the feet

The soles of the feet are among the parts that need to be examined from time to time, because discoloration is a warning sign of high cholesterol or endocarditis, a disease that targets the inner lining of the heart valves and chambers.
