Slovana Bratislava footballers have three attempts to do so. All they have to do is succeed in one of them and their goal is fulfilled. The first option is through the Champions League.
In it, Slovan eliminated the Irish Shamrock Rovers in the first preliminary round after a home victory of 2: 0 and a loss to the opponent 1: 2.

In case of promotion, the Slovak champion will meet in the third preliminary round of the Champions League with the winner of the double match between the Romanian CFR Cluj and Lincoln Red Imps from Gibraltar.
Master of Romania or Gibraltar?
Both opponents are more paper-friendly than Young Boys Bern, who has dominated the Swiss league in recent years. He won it last time with a 31-point lead.

However, to advance to the group stage of the Champions League, Slovan will have to manage another demanding opponent in the playoffs, whose name he does not know yet.
A much more acceptable way for Slovan is to play in the basic group of one of the two other European competitions.

If they drop out with the Young Boys, the Slavs continue in the third preliminary round of the European League. In it, paradoxically, they can meet a weaker team from the pair of CFR Cluj and Lincoln Red Imps.
The Gibraltar champion eliminated the Luxembourg Fola in the first preliminary round. At home, he even won sovereignly 5: 0.
Nevertheless, he should not be a more serious opponent for the Romanian champion. And also for the Slavs, if he hadn’t gone through the Young Boys.

Progression to the group is a mandatory mission
According to the transfer market, the value of the Lincoln Red Imps staff is approximately one million euros. According to this portal, the value of Slovan players is 13.8 mil. eur. However, it is even more realistic.
Greater experience with European competitions also speaks for Slovan. That is also why losing with this team would be a great shame for Slovan.

If the Slovak champion succeeded, he would advance to the playoffs for the European League. If he succeeds in it, he will play the group phase of the second most prestigious European competition.
If he does not succeed in this double match, he is sure of the basic group of the European Conference League, which was formed only this season.
If Slovan had not succeeded against the Gibraltar champion, he would still have played the last preliminary round of advancing to the European Conference League group.
Getting into one of the groups of European cups currently seems like a compulsory mission for the Slavs.
