Six positive patients with coronavirus were added in the South Bohemian region

Of the current 136 active cases of COVID-19 in southern Bohemia, 35 are currently registered in the Prachatice region, 27 in the České Budějovice region, 23 in the Písek region, 17 in the Strakonice region, 16 in the Tábor region, 10 in the Český Krumlov region and eight in the Jindřichův Hradec region. Compared to other regions in terms of the relative incidence of COVID-19, ie in the number of positive cases recalculated per 100 thousand inhabitants of the region, southern Bohemia continues to maintain a cumulative position with 69.40 patients per 100 thousand inhabitants (as of Saturday at 6 pm) region with the lowest overall incidence of COVID-19 in the Czech Republic.

“A total of 24,229 people have been indicated for examination in southern Bohemia due to suspected COVID-19 disease. There were 297 people in the compulsory quarantine at 6 pm on Saturday. The number of examined self-payers in the region increased by 51 on Saturday to a total of 5,820, “said Jitka Luňáčková, an epidemiologist at the South Bohemian KHS.

In southern Bohemia, self-payers can currently be tested at the sampling points of all South Bohemian hospitals, with the exception of České Budějovice. In the regional city, they will find a sampling point in the Synlab laboratories in U tří lvů Street. From Monday, August 17, the Next clinics laboratory will test again self-paying in a tent at the main entrance to the exhibition grounds in Husova Street. Samples will be taken without prior order from Monday to Thursday, always from 8 am to 2 pm. Synlab is already testing in Český Krumlov.

According to verified KHS data, 220 women and 227 men have been positive on Saturday evening in southern Bohemia since the beginning of the epidemic. Out of a total of 447 cases confirmed so far, 104 are from Prachatice, 85 from České Budějovice, 69 from Strakonice, 64 from Tábor, 47 from Jindřichův Hradec, 43 from Písek and 35 from Český Krumlov. Among the positively tested in the region, there are a cumulative 28 children under the age of 14. 87 patients are in the category from 15 to 24 years, 78 in the category from 25 to 34 years, 72 in the category from 35 to 44 years, 71 in the category from 45 to 54 years and 56 in the category from 55 to 64 years. A total of 55 patients belong to the most endangered age group 65+.
