Six new outbreaks in the Community, two of them in Valencia

Public Health has detected six new coronavirus outbreaks -in Burjassot, València (2), Manises, Elche and Peñíscola- with a total of 38 affected, in a day in which there have been no deaths and 41 positive cases have been registered.

CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK UPDATE

According to data provided this Friday by the Ministry of Health, a new outbreak has been detected in a Burjassot NGO with 10 positive cases and another two outbreaks in Valencia, with 7 imported positive cases related to seasonal workers in Lleida.

In addition, there has been a family outbreak in Manises with 7 positives, one of them hospitalized, in Elche an outbreak has been declared involving three families and has 3 positives, and in Peñíscola a new outbreak has been declared with 11 cases (3 from Zaragoza, 2 from Madrid and 6 from Teruel).

These six outbreaks are added to previous ones detected in Gandía, with 19 new cases (total 49); Santa Pola, where there has been a labor outbreak in a leisure establishment with 1 new case (total 5); in Fortaleny with 3 new cases (total 6); and in Peñíscola, the outbreak that had been assigned to this municipality with 3 positives has been found to correspond to a Càlig family.

LATEST PANDEMIC DATA

The Valencian Community adds another day without registering deaths from coronavirus, which means that the total number of deaths remains at 1,476 people. By provinces: 227 in the province of Castellón, 512 in the province of Alicante and 737 in the province of Valencia.

Likewise, during the last day there have been 58 new discharges to patients with coronavirus, so the total of people cured already amounts to 17,636 people. By provinces: 2,521 in Castellón, in 5,876 Alicante and 9,238 in Valencia, to which there is add 1 displaced persons.

41 new cases have also been confirmed since the last update, bringing the total figure to 11,941 people: 4 in Castellón (1,679 in total); 6 in the province of Alicante (4,033 in total); and 31 in the province of Valencia (6,228 in total). In addition, 1 unassigned case from previous days must be added, since 3 cases have been reassigned to the province of Valencia.

Thus, 308 cases are currently active, which represents 1.59% of the total positives.

The Valencian hospitals have, to date, a total of 67 people admitted: 16 in the province of Castellón, without patients in ICU; 14 in the province of Alicante, 2 of them in the ICU; and 37 in the province of Valencia, 3 of them in ICU.

The total number of tests carried out for the detection of coronavirus have been 513,959 of which 384,553 have been through PCR and 129,406 through rapid test.
