Six Dutch projects receive a subsidy to increase cyber resilience – Computer – News

The Digital Trust Center of the Dutch government grants a subsidy to six projects to increase the cyber resilience of companies. The Dutch Institute for Vulnerability Disclosure foundation uses the money to hire people.

The DIVD will receive a subsidy for the next three years and thus says four paid part-time positions to support the volunteers. Ethical hacker Victor Gevers, among others, will be given a position. From 1 January he will work as head of investigation for DIVD two days a week. He is also one of the founders of that initiative.

It DIVD already worked with the DTC and also with the NCSC warning companies about vulnerabilities. The collective consists of volunteers who, among other things, actively search for systems that are susceptible to known vulnerabilities. DIVD researchers are also regularly involved in the discovery of new vulnerabilities.

In addition to the DIVD, there are five other projects that receive subsidies. These are the ECP Foundation, The Hague Security Delta Foundation, MMOX, KMO Development BV and the Cyber ​​Safety North Netherlands Foundation. These projects focus, among other things, on actively combating DDOs attacks, cyber incidents in horticulture and solutions for SMEs. Via the Cyber ​​resilience subsidy scheme one million euros has been made available this year. A maximum of 200,000 euros is available per project.
