Epidemiological report:
According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 23,970 analyzes were carried out today and 3,667 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 3,667 new cases, 1,605 are from Montevideo, 482 from Canelones, 248 from Paysandú, 213 from Maldonado, 162 from Salto, 141 from Tacuarembó, 114 from Florida, 108 from San José, 105 from Colonia, 98 from Rocha, 87 from Artigas, 74 from Soriano, 43 from Cerro Largo, 35 from Flores, 34 from Lavalleja, 31 from Treinta y Tres, 29 from Durazno, 29 from Río Negro and 29 from Rivera.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,485,681 tests have been processed and 330,027 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 289,754 have already been recovered.
Today, 47 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (a detailed table is attached). So far, there are 4,862 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 35,411 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 473 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 8,124 correspond to health personnel. 7,765 of them have already recovered, 334 are suffering from the disease and 25 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 326,405. Today 3,667 new cases and a total of 330,027 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 45 cases were eliminated.
