Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 13,098 analyzes were carried out today and 2,044 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 2,044 new cases, 923 are from Montevideo, 285 from Canelones, 148 from Cerro Largo, 102 from Rivera, 97 from Río Negro, 86 from Artigas, 73 from Salto, 68 from San José, 48 from Maldonado, 38 from Colonia, 38 from Soriano, 33 from Tacuarembó, 29 from Florida, 24 from Treinta y Tres, 23 from Rocha, 14 from Durazno, 6 from Flores, 6 from Paysandú and 3 from Lavalleja. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,308,552 have been processed and 95,278 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 76,030 have already been recovered.

Today 26 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. It is about 1 patient from Florida, 59 years old, 1 patient from Salto, 82 years old, 1 patient from Treinta y Tres, 60 years old, 2 patients from Cerro Largo, 65 and 92 years old, 2 patients from Paysandú, 73 and 81 years old. 2 patients from San José aged 85 and 89 years old, 2 patients from Tacuarembó aged 84 and 93 years old, 5 patients from Canelones aged 71, 76, 88, 91 and 99 years old and 10 patients from Montevideo aged 36, 65, 65, 73, 80, 81, 83, 83, 89 and 92 years. So far there are 901 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 18,347 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 273 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 4460 correspond to health personnel. 3,997 of them have already recovered, 456 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 92,343. Today 2,044 new cases and a total of 95,278 confirmed positive cases are reported.
The difference is explained because 897 cases reported out of date by laboratories were included, according to the MSP in the statement published today and available HERE and, on the other hand, because 6 cases were eliminated.
