It confirms several sources to VG.

The Green Party’s city council group and leadership in Oslo elected Stav as the new city council during a meeting on Wednesday.

Stav is group leader for MDG in Oslo City Council and leader of the city council’s Transport and Environment Committee.

According to VG’s information, Raymond Johansen is scheduled to present the new city council on Thursday.

The red-green Oslo City Council with the Labor Party, the Socialist People’s Party and the Green Party withdrew on Wednesday 17 June after the majority in the city council voted in favor of Lan Marie Berg.

The City Council’s support party Rødt secured a majority for no confidence in Berg – and City Council leader Raymond Johansen (Labor Party) asked cabinet questions.

Since the city council resigned, it has served as a so-called business ministry.

On Monday, Johansen was commissioned by mayor Marianne Borgen (SV) to form a new city council.
