The parent company would like to turn this fact into money and quits the introduction of the new function “Shops on WhatsApp”. This should enable users of the messenger in the future to come into direct contact with dealers before they buy something from them. The actual purchase should then ideally take place via the “Shops on Marketplace” sales platform announced at the same time. These are the online shops of the respective retailers set up on Facebook, which should be accessible via Facebook itself as well as via WhatsApp and Instagram. In this way, WhatsApp could in future become a kind of online shop with direct advice.-
