More than 1.6 million people watched the arrival of Sinterklaas on television on Saturday afternoon. This is the same number of spectators as arriving in 2021. With over 1.92 million viewers, the satirical show by Niels van der Laan and Jeroen Woe was the most watched program of the evening.
The duo was unable to match the viewership record of last season’s final episode, which drew 2.3 million people. Up to here won the Golden Televizier Ring earlier this year with a record number of votes.
The biggest surprise on Saturday’s episode was the pop group reunion K-otic. Five of the original seven members provided a musical interlude.
