The singer Doc Gynéco was taken into custody on Wednesday December 10 for “criminal acts of a sexual nature”, according to BFM Paris, informed to the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office. He was heard by the police of the Territorial Security of Seine-Saint-Denis as part of a preliminary investigation for “sexual assault on a minor under 15”. His police custody was lifted the same day.
The Bobigny public prosecutor’s office will now decide on the legal follow-up to be given to this case. According to BFM Paris, he is suspected of sexual assault on a 12-year-old minor. The girl and her mother were also heard by investigators.
No prosecution
Friday morning, no charge or no prosecution was brought against the 47-year-old artist, his lawyer, Me Jonathan Khalifa, told BFM Paris.
Doc Gynéco had been condemned to five months in prison suspended last May for domestic violence.
