Simona Viceconte died, she committed suicide as her sister Maura did a year ago

She took her own life as her sister did exactly one year ago. A death full of mysteries that of Simona Viceconte, 45, who committed suicide in the same way as her sister Maura Viceconte, Italian marathon champion, found lifeless on February 19, 2019. Both died without leaving a ticket.

The images of a life: the memory of the champion Maura Viceconte

Simona Viceconte hanged herself at the railing of the stairs of the building where she lived, in the Colleatterrato neighborhood, in Teramo where she had moved from Valsusa to follow her banking husband. Maura was 51 when she decided to end her life. A news that left everyone speechless. The Italian marathon champion had planned her death. After lunch he went out to throw the garbage and hanged himself from a tree in the garden. Maura Viceconte was a marathon star in the 90s and early 2000s. Bronze at the European Championships in Budapest in 1998, the Piedmontese was absolute record holder of the distance.
A death, that of Maura, which has remained a mystery, just as the death of her sister Simona is now a mystery.
