Kappa variant has the official name B.1.617.1, is a new variant corona virus which too come from India, such as variant Delta.
In Indonesia alone, a case related to the Kappa variant has been found, namely in Indonesia Jakarta.

Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan has directly announced the findings of the Kappa variant during the coordination meeting for the implementation of the emergency community activity restrictions (PPKM) on Tuesday (29/6/2021).
Apart from Indonesia, the Kappa variant has also penetrated in other countries such as Australia.
Reporting from SBS News, Jeroen Weimar, Deputy Secretary at the Department for Health and Human Services Australia said that Kappa variants can be spread through short contact.
Kappa variants are also reported to have multiple mutations in spike proteins that could be a factor in the spread of the virus.
