A significant change in weather is looming. After rather cool, windy and rainy days, the summer warmth is now making its way to Winterthur. “We already expect temperatures of up to 20 degrees on Saturday afternoon,” says meteorologist Urs Graf from Meteo Switzerland. “In the early Saturday morning, however, there may be another slight ground frost.”
However, low temperatures are no longer to be expected on Sunday mornings. Because a short turbo summer starts on Mother’s Day. “We expect maximum daily temperatures of up to 26 degrees for the Winterthur area on Sunday,” says Graf. That would be the warmest day of the year so far. According to the weather station in Oberwinterthur, the highest value this year was recorded in April (23.8 degrees).
