There is a new sound coming from Mars. NASA released a recording of the noise of the metal wheels of the robot “Preseverance” traveling on the red planet’s soil.
The recording was captured on March 7, but has only now been released by the space agency. As you can see from the audio, “Preseverance” is not at all silent.
The microphones on board the device have already picked up sounds of the martian wind and the noise of the laser piercing the stones of the soil.
The samples captured by the robot will be analyzed later to identify the structure and composition of Mars, as well as signs of life on the planet.
