During his interview with the “Ya Hala” program broadcast on the Rotana Khalijiya channel, a member of the Shura Council, Turki Al-Awwad, revealed the details of the Shura proposal regarding the new traffic violation “road rage.” Al-Awwad pointed out that road rage is a famous international term that refers to bullying on the roads. And some vehicle drivers harass other people who drive vehicles or walk on foot.
Al-Awwad explained that these behaviors include the driver approaching another person and forcibly imposing priority, using high beams in an exaggerated manner, or engaging in any behavior that puts the safety of others at risk. Al-Awwad pointed out that after achieving progress in combating the phenomenon of drifting, a group of behaviors moved to A new phenomenon closer to road rage. This new proposal comes in order to improve road safety in Saudi Arabia, enhance drivers’ behavior, and reduce hostile and annoying behavior. This proposal is expected to be implemented soon in Saudi Arabia after its approval.
