MOSCOW, Sept. 3 – RIA Novosti. Singer Mikhail Shufutinsky called the proposal to ban the hit “Third September” “another stupidity”, in his opinion, the song cannot be banned. Earlier, the media reported that a petition had been created in St. Petersburg to ban Shufutinsky’s song. He noted that the song caused a public outcry , and this is good. “It is better when music and good songs cause a public outcry than the crimes of some people, drug trafficking, etc. It is much better, kinder and more honest,” he said. Shufutinsky first performed the song “September 3” in 1993 , later she was included in his album “Walk, soul”. Music written Igor Krutoy, the author of the text – Igor Nikolaev… In the early 2000s, a photo of American rapper Rick Ross (resembling Shufutinsky) with a quote from the song appeared on the network. It was replicated, which later turned Shufutinsky’s composition into a meme, which in recent years has traditionally become relevant on the eve of September 3.
