Founder and artistic director Marco Gerris received the oeuvre prize of 150,000 euros in the Kromhouthal in the capital. “ISH Dance Collective provides innovation in the performing arts by combining art forms in a unique way and thereby makes society more beautiful”, says Cathelijne Broers, director of the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds.
For more than twenty years, ISH has been creating multidisciplinary performances, developing educational projects and thereby connecting and surprising diverse groups of people, especially young people. The Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds praises the way in which ISH, which stems from the tradition of hip-hop, mainly manages to attract new audiences to the theaters.
