Michael “shroud“Grzesiek finally made his comeback in the world of streaming this Wednesday, August 12 by returning to Twitch. A remarkable live performance as the first statistics shared by the star prove.
While his departure for Mixer was rather lucrative, the average number of viewers at shroud suffered greatly. In fact only about 1/3 of his fans found shroud on his streams when he was on Mixer.
Yet all’s well that ends well for the former pro player of CS: GO and the merger of Mixer with Facebook Gaming did not really appeal to Shoud, who preferred to return to Twitch, to the delight of his community.
Hundreds of thousands of people flocked to Shroud’s live before it even appeared on screen.-
With more than 7 million followers on Twitch, shroud has returned to conquered ground and is once again a partner with the Amazon platform. This Wednesday, August 12, he made his comeback for the first time since his departure and the result exceeded all his expectations.
Moreover, before he even showed his face to the camera, several hundred thousand people were waiting on his channel.
Once the camera was on, more than half a million spectators celebrated his return and discovered his “new face”. If he does not reach the platform record (held by Ninja with more than 600,000 people), shroud can be proud of himself and of the community that he has managed to unite around him, as the figures below reveal. below.

In total, nearly 3 million unique visitors have passed through its channel and shroud was able to add 250,000 new followers to its count, with a peak of 516,289 viewers and an average of 222,888.
How much did this live bring to shroud?
While the exact amount of money generated by this 7-hour stream is unknown, it is nonetheless possible to estimate it with just your subscriptions.
16,524 people took out a subscription during this live and at $ 3.50 per sub (Twitch getting the rest), that’s 57 834 dollars, not bad. It’s also possible that this figure will be even higher depending on shroud’s agreement with Twitch on the percentage of each subscription.
Of course, that doesn’t include one-off donations, bits, or tier 2 or 3 subscriptions either.
There is now, however, no doubt that Twitch remains the most lucrative platform for shroud and while the hype surrounding its return will eventually run out of steam, it is still pretty stupendous compared to Mixer.
In parallel and only a few days before, it was Dr Disrespect who made the headlines with his first live on YouTube since his Twitch ban. Unfortunately for fans of the two stars, shroud won’t be able to stream alongside him like he did back in the day.
