Our reporter received a phone call with an invitation to the presentation. During the interview, the consultant did not advise that any products would be sold at the meeting.

In order to take part in the event addressed mainly to seniors, our reporter changed her appearance. The meeting took place in a rented conference room of one of the hotels.

As for me, I am a graduate of the Academy of Physical Education in the field of rehabilitation with a specialization in orthopedics. To have such a device at home, you will have to pay for it within the limits of PLN 6990. A physical therapist, even like me, will only see one person at a time, with a maximum of eight a day. And this device is able to massage both fifteen and twenty people throughout the day. It pays for itself very quickly, that’s a fact.
When presenting products, the man often used the authority of a physiotherapist. Is it really? We asked about this in the National Chamber of Physiotherapists.
– All physiotherapists must be in the National Register of Physiotherapists, a person with such data is not a physiotherapist. He does not have the right to practice. A physiotherapist is a title protected by law and only a person who has the right to practice the profession of a physiotherapist can be a physiotherapist, says Dominika Kowalczyk, spokesman of KIF.
– It is a fraud and we report to the prosecutor’s office in such situations. And it will be another one submitted by the National Chamber of Physiotherapists, in a situation where someone is using the title of a physiotherapist illegally – adds Kowalczyk.
Meanwhile, the man introducing himself as a physiotherapist at the meeting stated that he wanted to present a “technical novelty”.
– It is a universal orthopedic mattress. If Mr. Andrzej is not offended, I am going to kidnap Mrs. Ania back to bed, okay? I invite. This is the bed on which I see patients in the studio. This mattress adapts to the shape of the user’s body, but also to the surface on which it is lying. And Ania will find out about it on her own living organism – the man praised.

We checked on the Internet that mattresses, identical to the one shown in the presentation, are offered on various advertising websites for prices starting from several hundred zlotys. In this way, we found Mr. Władysław, who was looking for someone who would buy such a mattress from him for PLN 450.
– They wrap you up so much that I became the buyer of several things at the show – a mattress, massage mat, vacuum cleaner and pots. It was a condition that I would buy it in a set. At the show, I was forced to say that I was very lucky. That the whole set costs 36 thousand. PLN, and I bought 4 things for 8.5 thousand. PLN – says the senior.
– I am selling a mattress for PLN 450 now, because the maximum is worth that much – adds Władysław.
How much is a mattress really worth, identical to the one shown in the presentation with a price of almost PLN 15,000? We asked a physiotherapist who has the right to practice about this.
When we unzipped the mattress cover together, it turned out that there was just a sponge inside.
– It looks like the simplest material. It has negligible properties in terms of any cushioning and patient comfort. It seems that it is simply a scam – says Aleksander Błażkiewicz from Rehasport.
After the presentation of the products was finished, the participants of the meeting were asked for individual talks. It was then that they were offered to sell the products shown at the presentation.
– You surprised me very positively at this meeting. We have five bookings – three mattresses and two pillows. Thank you for your trust – said the meeting leader.
