Shots were heard in the Halle Gate in Brussels on Tuesday afternoon. This was written by l’Avenir and was confirmed by the Brussels South police zone. There are many police on site and the area around Jean Volderslaan has been cordoned off. The mayor of Sint-Gillis Jean Spinette (PS) tells city newspaper Bruzz that there are no injuries, but that information has yet to be confirmed. The Brussels public prosecutor’s office does not want to communicate about the facts for the time being. According to Le Soir, a chase was underway through the south of the city after the incident. A car that was allegedly involved in the facts was found in Anderlecht. Weapons were reportedly found in the car.
On Sunday evening, two young men were shot at a few dozen meters away in Lacaillestraat in the Marolles. The perpetrators were able to escape and are still at large. The victims were seriously injured but are out of danger.
