The Asklepios Clinic Langen is building a stroke center that will go into operation in July at the latest. This guarantees fast help for stroke victims.

The Asklepios Clinic in Langen is currently building an interdisciplinary stroke center. This means that stroke patients from the Offenbach district, which the ambulance service has previously had to take to supply hospitals in Offenbach, Frankfurt or Darmstadt, can be brought to the Langener Klinik from June or July.

“We have grown so much in recent years that we now have the confidence to do so,” says Managing Director Jan Voigt. The new 1000 square meter emergency room was put into operation in May, the new helicopter landing facility with a direct transition to the emergency room is currently under construction, the clinic can diagnose patients in a shock room with high-performance CT and has 16 monitoring beds on the ward. All of this creates the best treatment options for strokes, says Voigt. The following applies here: rapid diagnostics and therapy increase the chances of recovery.

According to Voigt, the equipment and software alone cost the clinic 500,000 euros. As head of the new unit, Dr. Dirk Czapowski can be won. The neurological intensive care and rehab doctor last worked for six years in the neurological clinic in Bad Salzhausen. His deputy is Dr. Paul Samp, who comes from the Horst Schmidt clinics in Wiesbaden as a specialist in neurology. ann
