Shooting leaves three injured on Christmas Eve in Hegewisch | Univision Chicago WGBO

CHICAGO, Illinois.- Chicago police are investigating an incident that occurred at dawn on Thursday, December 24, in the far south of the city that left three people wounded with a firearm.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 in the morning inside a mobile home in the Harbor Point Estates community, at 4000 East 134th Street, in the Hegewich area.

Police preliminarily reported that three people were inside a mobile home when they suffered gunshot wounds. A 25-year-old man was shot in the arm and was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in good condition, while another man, 35, was also shot in the arm and was taken to Christ Hospital. It is also in good condition. The latest victim, a 29-year-old woman, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is in critical condition at the University of Chicago Hospital.

There are currently no witnesses to this incident and no one in custody. Detectives in Area Two are investigating. Further details are unknown at this time and in the background all the victims are known to the police.
