Shooting in San Jose in Silicon Valley: there are victims

Nine were killed in the shooting in San Jose, California, including the killer who later took his own life. According to authorities, the 57-year-old Sam Cassidy, an employee of the Valley Transportation Authority, which provides buses, light rail and other transportation services throughout Santa Clara County, the most populous in the Bay Area, was fired.

At the moment, the motive for the gesture is not yet clear. Doubts also about the exact location of the shooting: according to the president of the VTA Glenn Hendricks it would have taken place in the train yard but not in the operations control center, while for the Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen it would have occurred inside the building a morning meeting.
