Shocking video of men eating human flesh in Haiti sparks outrage and disbelief – President Nayib Bukele reacts with condemnation and warnings

Astonishment was caused by a video circulating on social networks in which some men in Haiti are seen eating a person, in the middle of the country’s streets.

The video is giving something to talk about thanks to the fact that the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, shared it, indicating that the same reality was experienced a few years ago in his country and rejecting this type of act.

What is known about the video is that it was published in 2021 and, since that moment, it has circulated on various social networks. In the audiovisual material, a man is seen in the streets chewing something, but it is not until a few seconds in which it can be seen that this something is apparently human flesh, since the camera captures the way in which the individual approaches to a kind of bonfire to remove another piece of meat from a human leg.

The Haitian authorities have not yet confirmed or denied that this type of cannibalism practices exist in the country, but what is clear is that these types of videos portray the harsh situation of violence that exists in the country.
