Shocking Decline in Quality of High School Textbooks: Who’s Responsible?

Since my children have been reading books, first in school and then in high school, I have kept myself informed about the content they study, the methodology they follow, etc.

The truth, dear readers, is that with respect to the contents of textbooks I have seen everything. Those who govern our destinies universally like to poison the education of our young people with cheap politicking, this is and has been the case. But, beyond certain subjective considerations, they have always maintained a minimum respect for the objective elements of each subject. Until today.

The textbooks of this year, especially those in History and Biology, in the 1st year of ESO, are sad. This year, teachers barely follow those books. Teachers, always guarantors of the education of our young people, do their best to ensure that students can learn the concepts that the educational plans have established. This is the year in which more parallel projects have to be developed. In which the educator’s notes are most necessary, since trusting books is dangerous. Who designed the contents of these books? Who is responsible for its low quality? You already know the answer, dear readers. The tripartite of progress. Well, that’s what they called themselves. I laugh at a progress that, once it has put its big hands in the classrooms, must be rectified by teachers so clearly.

What I tell you today is a real scandal. Defiling textbooks from power is repugnant, but eliminating absolutely necessary content and lowering its quality makes no sense whatsoever. But what is this?
