Shocked police horse kicks cyclist in face, victim seriously injured Interior

In the afternoon two police riders rode on the Madepolderweg bridle path in the direction of the Oorberlaan. A racing cyclist overtook them on the adjacent cycle path. At that moment one of the horses was startled, bumped into the cyclist and kicked him in the face.

The police regrets the accident and says they are in close contact with the family and the victim. He is doing well under the circumstances.
