Shocking is the new video document from Abvakum Monastery in Fterikoudi, Cyprus, which shows a monk going out of his mind and attacking a woman with a belt.
The revealing video was shown on the program “Front Page” of the channel “SIGMA” in Cyprus. The video shows scenes from outside the church in which the archimandrites can be seen arguing vigorously with a woman.
According to information from the show “Protoselido”, the woman probably worked as a cleaner. She repeatedly asks the monk to let her in to get something she left inside, with him shouting her out of the room.
The archimandrites throughout the disputed footage are plowing, while at one point the woman falls to the ground. In the video, a monk can be seen attacking the woman with the belt, who at the end of the video can be seen leaving the Monastery.
