River navigation on the Main starts the engines for the summer season. In the course of the relaxation of the corona restrictions, river and sea shipping in Bavaria is now allowed again. From now on, day trippers can head for popular destinations on the water again or set off on sightseeing tours.
Ships in Miltenberg, Volkach and Würzburg leave again
Cruises on the Main are now offered again between Würzburg and Veitshöchheim, for example, as are the daily round trips in Miltenberg or Volkach. Occasionally, the operators only start a little later: For example, ship tourism in Lohr am Main does not leave until June 5.
Only minor changes to the schedule
For example, the timetables on the route between Würzburg and Veitshöchheim have changed only slightly. However, hygiene requirements on board the ships are a prerequisite for the resumption of river traffic. Passengers are obliged to wear mouth-nose protection. You can only take it off when you are at a table. In addition, the operators must write down the contact details of their guests. Some operators therefore ask to register in advance for the trips.
