She stole her 22-year-old daughter’s identity to date young men

United States.- A woman in the United States posed as her 22-year-old daughter to get dates with men younger than her.

The information was revealed by the New York Post.

According to the aforementioned media, Laura Oglesby, 48, applied for a Social Security card in the name of her daughter Lauren Hays, thus stealing her identity.

The young people with whom the woman was dating never realized that she was over four decades old.

“Everyone believed him. She even had boyfriends who thought she was that age,” Mountain View Police Department Chief Jamie Perkins said.

The woman created a Snapchat account in her daughter’s name and so that she would not be discovered, she used filters to make her face look younger.

She even got a job at a library, her driver’s license and enrolled at Southwestern Baptist University under her assumed name: Lauren Hays.

“Laura fully embraced a younger lifestyle: clothing, makeup and personality. She had fully embraced becoming a 22-year-old,” police said.

According to authorities, the woman lived for 2 years with a couple from her town, Avery and Wendy Parker, who believed her story and thought she was a young woman fleeing domestic abuse.

According to the New York Post, the Arkansas police became suspicious of Laura and began investigating her.

They finally managed to stop her and she admitted that she had been living for 2 years with the identity of her daughter. Now the woman she faces 5 years in prison for providing false information to the Social Security Administration.
