Sharjah Police seizes a “mobile phone theft” gang and refers it to the Public Prosecution

The Criminal Investigation and Investigation Services of Sharjah Police managed to arrest an Asian and his accomplices who deal with him, whose activities were specialized in theft of mobile phone stores, and referred them to the Public Prosecution.

In detail, the Director of the Investigations and Criminal Investigation Department at the Sharjah Police, Colonel Omar Ahmed Abu Al-Zawd, indicated that the data related to the search and investigation operations proved the suspect’s involvement in several thefts from inside shops selling mobile phones in the Emirate of Sharjah, after the teams specialized in the theft crimes branch prepared a plan A court to trap him and his partners who deal with him.

He explained that an unknown person broke the door of one of the shops specialized in selling mobile phones late at night and seized smart phones and accessories worth 200 thousand dirhams, after receiving a communication indicating that, and it was proven through surveillance cameras that the thief intended to hide his features wearing A mask, a hat, a coat and gloves during the commission of the crime, but the efforts made by the specialized team prevented that, and they were able to reach him within only 8 hours of committing the crime, and to return the stolen goods to the owner of the shop.

The Director of the Criminal Investigation and Investigation Department at Sharjah Police said that the suspect tried to mislead the detectives, but the efficiency and skill of the research and investigation team, and the digital surveillance cameras owned by the Sharjah Police spread throughout the emirate, revealed the circumstances of the incident and identified the suspect in detail and brought him to justice.

Confronting the suspect with evidence, he acknowledged them, explaining the locations of the stolen phones, along with his partners who buy phones from him without official purchase receipts. All of them were transferred to the Public Prosecution Office to complete the legal procedures against them.

Colonel Omar Abu Al-Zawd called on shop owners to strengthen the preventive measures related to securing the tightness of doors and locks, and to ensure that they are linked to modern security systems that detect theft, in addition to not leaving large sums of money inside the shops and keeping valuables in safe places so that they are not exposed. to steal.
