Tickets for the Shanghai leg of the Paris Olympic qualifying series will go on pre-sale on Monday, with events including BMX cycling, freestyle, break dancing, skateboarding and rock climbing.
Shanghai, along with Budapest, was selected as the host city for the Olympic qualifying series for these four sports last year. These two events are an important step in determining whether BMX, freestyle, break dancing, skateboarding and rock climbing athletes can qualify for this Olympics.
Mainland media described that, unlike other Olympic qualifying tournaments, this series of events in Shanghai is committed to integrating competition on the field and city parties. The Shanghai organizers proposed to allow more people to participate, including the freestyle BMX project. The organizers will invite a group of enthusiasts to participate in the filming of a short documentary about the BMX cycling journey. The route starts from Shanghai, passes through Suzhou, and finally reaches Guangzhou. Looking forward to bringing the climax of the qualifying series back to Shanghai.
The Shanghai race will be held from May 16th to 19th. The Budapest leg will be held in June.
