‘Shadowness about compensation Poch’ | What you say

Former pilot Julio Poch and outgoing minister Ferd Grapperhaus, who were acquitted due to wrongful detention, have agreed on financial compensation for his partially suffered and yet to be suffered damage on humanitarian grounds. The amount of this amount will not be made public and with the emphasis of Grapperhaus that the State does not recognize any liability, this is a shadowy agreement. Poch was arrested by the then government under suspicious circumstances, had to miss eight years of his life, was eventually acquitted and this minister still dares to state that the State does not acknowledge any guilt, but does pay a financial compensation. Why is the taxpayer not allowed to know the amount of this amount? Should shadows cover up their failures?

Mrs Brugman, Lelystad
