She received the brutal death sentence at the same time as “Farmen kjendis” was broadcast on TV 2. While the viewers enjoyed the participants’ experiences on the farm, she was at Akershus University Hospital where she was immediately admitted.
In a new, exclusive interview with See and listen Rehman now reveals that she has gotten a boyfriend in Petter Simonsen (49).

– Magical and scary
– I understand that it may seem strange that a relationship is established when the life situation should indicate something completely different. It’s both magical and scary at the same time. I thought ‘Fy søren. Petter is not afraid of shots ». It’s not me either, but it’s clear that it takes courage from us, she tells the magazine honestly.
Although Rehman has found a glimmer of light, she admits that the new couple is painfully aware of what awaits them: the uncertain.
– I can understand how people wither and disappear when they are sick, because we do not tolerate so much pain. Then the body chooses what is comfortable – to wither more and more every day. But I feel that I am starting to wake up again through love, Rehman says gratefully in the exclusive interview.
More health challenges
When Rehman told about the cancer diagnosis earlier this year, it was not the first time she opened up about her own health.
– I have struggled with obesity and diabetes, and metabolism – so I was really sick. I have struggled with it all my life and you get quite tired and lethargic, so it’s not nice, she said at the time.
Rehman said she had type 2 diabetes, which is largely considered a lifestyle disease.
However, when she lost her dog two years earlier, she found a way to deal with the grief that would turn out to change everything.
– I started running around a bit in the neighborhood, ran from grief simply. In addition, I started with periodic fasting, so I got control of my blood sugar, she said in January this year.
By August 2020, Rehman had lost 25 kilos and “eaten well”, she could stop taking medication for diabetes.

Now she is facing a new health battle, and it is uncertain where it will end.
– The doctors say that I just have to continue living as I have done with my health journey for the last two years. Without these healthy measures, my situation would now be even worse. I have no additional diseases now, everything is in a way ready for treatment. But it is very serious. The doctors have told me that if the treatment does not work, I will not survive 2022, Rehman has previously stated.
