Douglas Rico, general director of Cicpc, indicated through his account on the Instagram social network that the incident occurred in Filas de Mariche, Sucre municipality of Miranda state, after the offender, whom he identified as Alexander José Blanco Mendoza, of 33-year-old resisted capture.

The official pointed out that the investigators went to the place to capture Mendoza, after learning that he entered the house of the septuagenarian, subjected, intimidated and assaulted her, leaving her unconscious to abuse her. Then she seized their valuables and cash.
Rico pointed out that in the proceeding they seized a shotgun-type firearm, Renegado brand, Industry ARM model, 12-millimeter caliber and 2 12-millimeter cartridges.
