Two prominent clubs could afford a showdown on the transfer market this summer: FC Barcelona and Liverpool are apparently interested in Diego Carlos from Sevilla FC.
The Spanish newspaper reports Sports. Accordingly, both clubs have an eye on the 27-year-old. The central defender has drawn attention to himself through strong performances. It could soon be a race. Because both Barca and the Reds want to upgrade to the position of the central defender.

But this would not be a cheap undertaking. For Carlos, the two top clubs would have to transfer a fixed transfer fee of 75 million euros to Seville. Barcelona may be ahead in this poker game, as Ivan Rakitic is flirting with a move to Seville. The Catalans could thus involve Rakitic in this deal.
