There is a traffic jam in the area of the accident
A severe accident with two victims closed the Sofia-Varna road. The incident happened at about 3 pm in the area after the gas station near the village of Malinovo.
According to initial information from the police, the accident was between two cars, and two people died on the spot. There are also two wounded who were taken to hospital.
The accident happened on the climb after the gas station in the direction of Sevlievo. The section there is straight, there is visibility, but often drivers drive significantly faster than the speed limit. According to unconfirmed information, a car was overtaking a convoy when it hit the oncoming car head-on.
A traffic jam has formed in the area of the accident and the cars are redirected on bypass routes on the road Ablanitsa-Lovech-Sevlievo.
