Dresden. Police and prosecutors are investigating attempted killing in Dresden’s old town. Early on Saturday morning, shortly before 2 a.m., an emergency call was made from Münzgasse, near the famous Frauenkirche.

According to the police, a 42-year-old man was seriously injured in front of a restaurant. “He was immediately taken to a Dresden hospital,” said the investigators on Saturday afternoon. Officers also found a 27-year-old woman with minor injuries. She had to be treated as an outpatient.

The 25-year-old is to be presented to a judge on Sunday

Apparently, the injuries were preceded by a bloody altercation outside the restaurant. The police speak of a crime scene. Officials there had found a 25-year-old suspect. The German was provisionally arrested. According to initial investigations, there was an altercation between the two men. The woman was also injured.

According to information from Sächsische.de, broken beer bottles and broken glass were still found at the crime scene on Saturday morning. Police detectives secured traces outside of the restaurant in the morning. At the same time, the first surveys were carried out.
