several consultations with residents in March and April

More than 10 kilometers of rails, 20 stations and 36,000 passengers per day… the T9 tramway promises to open up Vaulx-en-Velin and refine the transport offer in Villeurbanne. The line will be commissioned in 2026 and work should start in 2023.

While waiting for these deadlines, the consultation continues around this file with new times of exchanges with the public.

Meetings are scheduled for March and April. In particular, participants will be able to exchange views with representatives of Sytral on the insertion of the tramway in the districts crossed.

The calendar of appointments

Wednesday March 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: a stand – forum at the Mas du Taureau market to discuss the fine integration of the tramway in the Mas du Taureau district, in the city center of Vaulx-en-Velin and in the eastern districts;

Monday March 7 at 6:45 p.m.: a public meeting on the Charpennes Bellecombe sector at the town hall of 6e district of Lyon;

Thursday March 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: a La Soie La Balme La Tase workshop to discuss the fine integration of the tramway south of Vaulx-en-Velin (avenue Bataillon Carmagnole Liberté, rue Brunel, Boulevard Urbain Est, crossing the canal de Jonage);

Saturday March 19 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: the morning of T9 in Villeurbanne. Two urban walks will be offered in the Croix-Luizet and Saint-Jean sectors;

Friday April 8 afternoon: bike ride from Charpennes to Vaulx-en-Velin – silk to discuss cycling facilities, safety and bicycle traffic along the tram.

In order to support the ongoing consultation system and to answer questions from local residents, traders and companies in the areas concerned on the progress of studies, works, local access, the schedule, etc., a local relations officer from SYTRAL dedicated to project is mobilized until the commissioning of the T9 line: t9‐[email protected].
