Seven people died and several others were injured on Sunday morning in Texas when a vehicle rammed them outside a migrant center, police said.
Driver arrested
The car “ran over several people who were waiting at a bus stop,” Brownsville police spokesman Martin Sandoval told a local television station. Seven people were killed, the driver of the vehicle was arrested and is receiving treatment, he added.
He will be prosecuted for dangerous driving, but he could be targeted by other charges during the day, according to Martin Sandoval. The investigation will determine if it was an accident or a deliberate act, said the official. According to testimonies, it appears “the car has lost control.
