“Servants of the people” decided on candidates for four seats in the Cabinet (list)

We are talking about the heads of the Ministries of Defense, Economy, Reintegration of the Occupied Territories and the Ministry of Strategic Industry. The appointment procedure will take place this Thursday.

During a meeting of the Servant of the People faction on Monday, November 1, the people’s deputies decided on candidates for the posts of heads of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economy and other departments. In particular, the faction decided on the following candidates:

  • Minister of Reintegration of the Occupied Territories – People’s Deputy Irina Vereshchuk (instead of Alexei Reznikov);
  • Defense Minister – Alexey Reznikov (instead of Andrey Taran);
  • Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Strategic Industries – Head of the State Customs Service Pavel Ryabikin (instead of Oleg Urusky);
  • Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy – Deputy Head of the Office of the President Yulia Sviridenko (instead of Alexey Lyubchenko);
  • First Deputy Head of the Servant of the People faction – People’s Deputy Andrey Motovilovets (instead of Alexander Kornienko, who took the post of the first vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada);
  • Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada – Vyacheslav Shtuchny (instead of acting Mikhail Teplyuk).

The Verkhovna Rada will consider the issue of dismissing the ministers on Wednesday, November 3, and the people’s deputies will make decisions on appointments the next day.

Earlier, the head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia said that the rotation of Alexei Reznikov to Andrei Taran in the Ministry of Defense is the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
