HOEDEKENSKERKE – One person was seriously injured in an accident with a scooter on Saturday evening. The victim was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
The accident happened around 8.30 pm on the Molenstraat near Hoedekenskerke. A scooter rider fell due to an unknown cause. One person was seriously injured in the accident.
In addition to the police, fire brigade and the ambulance service, the trauma helicopter from Rotterdam also landed at the scene of the incident.
After being checked by the ambulance personnel and the Mobile Medical Team (MMT), the victim was transferred to the trauma helicopter. The injured person was eventually taken to hospital by helicopter.
It is not known exactly what happened on Molenstraat. Police Traffic Team is investigating the accident. That was completed around 10 p.m. and the fire brigade was able to clear the road.
