Seremi de Salud provided information in Panguipulli for a Safe and Healthy Summer
During yesterday, the Promotion section of the Seremi de Salud moved to the Panguipulli commune within the framework of care and protection for a Safe Summer. On his tour, he gave vacationers and residents preventive information about skin cancer and Hantavirus, including the delivery of free HIV self-test kits.
The campaign for a Safe Summer consists of a surveillance, inspection and health promotion plan, carried out by the Seremi de Salud de Los Ríos in all communes, spas and public spaces during this summer period in which activities increase by outdoors and the flow of visitors on vacation or tourism, reported Claudia Soto, professional in the Promotion section of the Seremi de Salud Los Ríos.
“These are the actions committed to in the public campaign to have a safe summer, which those who visit us and those who live in our region can enjoy. It includes a deployment throughout the territory and intersectoral coordination with other public services, to reach the entire population with messages and recommendations regarding Hantavirus, safe food consumption, skin cancer, Tobacco Law, among other health matters that “They have been prioritized this summer in our region,” said the health professional.
The tour in Panguipulli was led by the Los Ríos Health Seremi Promotion team, publicizing the new free HIV self-test, handing out sunscreen and children’s coloring books on Hantavirus prevention. It also included the delivery of information regarding the prohibition of smoking on the beaches and riverbanks of Tobacco Law 19,419 and Rural Health Posts were visited to deliver information material for users.
