Paulo Clemente, the businessman from Sabrosa who, in December 2018, fired several shots at a Swedish tournament in Vila Real, killing a 50-year-old player from Felgueiras, was sentenced yesterday to 20 years in prison.
The Vila Real Court also ordered the defendant to pay about 182,000 euros to the parents of the mortal victim and to two people who were also shot that night but survived. The businessman, who has been imprisoned in the Vila Real jail since the crime, also has to pay close to 14,000 euros to the hospital, for the costs of treating the victims.
