Selzach: City council wants property concept

Selzach

Use the moment for a property concept

The municipality of Selzach has unanimously approved the creation of a property concept and a potential study for the municipality’s own property.

Construction manager Thomas Leimer outlined the initial situation: The municipality owns various properties within the municipality, is renting properties or has financial interests in public bodies. A property concept is to be created as a basis for decision-making for medium to long-term community development. This should show the fields of action “use, sale, rent or purchase” and document the existing potential.

On the part of the CVP and the SP, slight concerns were expressed that some “chunks” would already be pending. In contrast, it was pointed out that the prerequisites for such a project in 2022 could not be better. Thomas Leimer will retire, but at the same time train a successor so that two specialists would be available at the same time.

A loan of 40,000.00 was unanimously included in the next budget, the contract goes to the company «Baderpartner AG», which is accompanied by a working group «Property concept 2022″, consisting of the mayor, the building manager and the head of childcare , the municipal administrator and one representative per parliamentary group.

Environmental regulations are being revised

A loan of 10,000 francs for the development of environmental regulations also passed slim (the previous one dates from 1990). The President of the Environment Commission, Stefan Affolter, referred to this fact and also to the fact that after all, they had the Energy City label and were trying to do it again. However, the environment is a broad field. Therefore, it was first decided to establish a kind of “table of contents” for the project (supplementary loan 2021) and only then to grant the loan release 2022 (Planar AG).

Finally, after intensive discussion, the FDP parliamentary group made a motion to supplement two working groups (local planning and traffic) with two other representatives of their party. The CVP and SP had great concerns that it would be against good faith if working groups that were already running well were changed “without necessity”. FDP parliamentary group leader Christoph Stoll refers on the one hand to proporzpolitische considerations and at the same time noted that one is ready to get even more involved.

The strongest faction waves the fence post …

He also “threatened” with the fact that if the strongest parliamentary group was insufficiently involved in the working groups, it could well happen that extensive preparatory work in the municipal council could ultimately be overturned. And that will not do anyone any good. The CVP and SP stuck to their concerns, but for the most part renounced fundamental opposition, so that Adrian Vögeli (traffic) and Simon Hugi (local planning) completed the relevant working groups with a vote ratio of 9 to 1 (1 abstention).
